…you may want to participate in Slactions 09, a Research conference in the Second Life® world - Life, imagination, and work using metaverse platforms. It is a global  conference being held simultaneously ‘in-world ‘ (that is lingo for ‘ in Second Life’…) and in 7 countries - U.S. (2 chapters: Berkeley and Austin), Brazil (2 chapters: S. Paulo and S. Leopoldo) ), Portugal, the UK, Finland, Israel and China.

You can still register at www.slactions.org under ‘in-world chapter’ or ‘local chapters’. Special rates for students when attending the local chapters. So if you are in any of the cities/countries mentioned, check it out.

We have just created the Global Fusion 2009 website using the new blog system that UTAustin has just put in place and that allows for group and/or individual blogs to be setup using Wordpress MU.

We hope to use this space to initiate some discussions that will continue during the conference!
