Registerin’
Hello, all! This is Eric, and today is my 73rd day here in Austin.
So sorry, that I missed last week’s post, if there’s anyone out there reading. It was just one of those weeks, you know, very routine and not interesting at all. So you’re welcome for not putting you through my week filled with boringness. Haha.
I can’t say that this week was a lot more exciting than the week I missed. I’ve just been enjoying Austin and doing everything for all my classes like a good kid. Today would be my 75th day here in Austin, but last weekend I visited la familia back in Fort Worth! It was nice going back and visiting for the first time, seeing the family and 2 dogs (that remembered who I am, yay!). Everything was still the same, but I kept making the joke “omigosh where are we!? Everything has changed!!” haha. It was Halloween weekend, so I spend Halloween on the bus on my way back to Austin. I couldn’t complain since I’m not very much a party person, as I’m sure you’ve figured by now. I wish I could tell you that Halloween here was crazy fun and how nuts the party was, but I think I would just have to refer you to another blog.
Anyway, the school week came around, and it was filled with a whole bunch of the same stuff. Ms. Martinson (who I haven’t heard from in ages!) said we’d post every week, not every day so we would avoid boring days, but that really didn’t work for me, obviously lol. It did start getting really cold here though. Our version of really cold is 60 degrees, though so everyone was walking around with their jackets. And I managed to start getting sick again. I played some intense racket ball with some friends, then I walked outside right afterwards without a jacket. Apparently my mom was right, bleh. So I feel kind of terrible. Add to that the stress of registering for classes and you’ll have a terrible day. I found out this morning that planning my schedule in advance was of no use, since classes fill up too fast! I’m not saying not to do any planning; I’m saying that you should try to register as early as you possibly can. Get yourself some good classes so you won’t be wait-listed in a class that you NEED.
So that’s how my life is going. Until next week.
