Why did you choose to attend UT Austin? Well, funny story about that, I was originally intending to go to Carnegie Mellon, and had applied to UT not knowing much about the university. After deciding Carnegie wasn’t really worth it, I looked more into UT and absolutely fell in love with it on my campus visit before freshmen orientation.
Are you the first in your family to go to college? Both my mother and father attended college. Neither of them attended UT.
What are you most looking forward to about college? The ladies… Ha ha! I’m actually really looking forward to the freedom that comes with being a college student.
What makes you nervous about college? Well, the fact that I didn’t really develop good study habits during or homework doing habits during high school worries me. Other than that, not much else.
What are your favorite Web sites? Well, embarrassingly enough, I’m an avid reader of Manga so my favorite websites (which’ll probably be shut down by the time you read this due to the whole “copyright” thing) are based around that.
What are your favorite foods? Bacon Cheeseburgers, Pizza, Chicken, Chinese food. Not really a sweets person though I do love cookies & cream.
What music are you listening to? I generally listen to parody bands–Weird Al, They Might Be Giants, The Barenaked Ladies (and, yes that last one is a real band). The other kind of music I listen to is various video game instrumental remixes.
What are your favorite movies? Coraline, 9, Jumper, The A-Team. All of those, except Jumper, are ones I’d like to see again.
What are your favorite academic subjects? There are favorite academic subjects? I was under the impression that everyone hated all of them. Joking, I’d say I like math when I understand it and love computer science when I get into it.
What are your hobbies? Programming, vidjia gaming. Playing MMOs (oddly enough not World of Warcraft). Kinda wanna get into Tennis, maybe electronics building.
What’s one that is uniquely you? I have the ability to put ridiculous amounts of effort into things when I manage to focus for o-Did you know there are more than 37 flavors of ice cream?
What do you hope prospective students learn from your blog? If they learn anything, that’ll be a nice bonus. I hope they’re entertained by it, and possibly feel more invited by the University of Texas.
