Hometown: Fort Worth, TX
Size of High School: 225
Previous CS Experience: I took a couple of programming classes in high school and was part of the school’s Computer Science UIL Academic team.
CS Interests: I think am going to college to find out, what best fits me and what I like the most. I really enjoyed programming in high school, and I’m sort of an efficiency freak.
Dream Job: I would like a fun job, a job that I will enjoy and will have something new for me every day. My dream job would be one that got the best out of me, a job that challenged me and never let me down.
Why did you choose to attend UT Austin? I chose to attend UT Austin because it is the best university here in Texas. I wanted to have the “college experience” away from home, but not too far. Also, I learned at orientation, being an Aggie is bad.
Are you the first in your family to go to college? My two sisters and a couple of cousins attended college before m, but I am the very first longhorn of the family.
What are you most looking forward to about college? I’m looking forward to making a lot of new friends! I’m also excited about just going to college, a whole new experience!
What makes you nervous about college? Classes make me nervous. Knowing how many hours I must have by the end of 4 years in order to get my degree, and the slight possibility that I may not have them all in time makes me anxious.
What are your favorite Web sites? Hulu is great. I also like FaceBook and YouTube, like everyone else! I also like IGN, just to see what new cool games are coming out.
What are your favorite foods? I can’t remember them all, but I do remember I do not like cheesecake. It’s a fun word to say, but it just tastes bad…
What music are you listening to? I mostly like Paramore. They’re great.
What are your favorite movies? The Harry Potter series, of course.
What are your favorite academic subjects? I have always liked math. I like to think I’m pretty good at it, I guess I’ll find out.
What are your hobbies? I like playing video games, mainly Nintendo. I also really enjoy playing tennis; you will always find me at the tennis courts!
What’s one that is uniquely you? I have double jointed fingers.
What do you hope prospective students learn from your blog? I hope that I can show them how life as a longhorn could be for them, what they should look forward to, and what to look out for.
