Storage forums

It’s clear from listening to the very astute participants in the storage forums, that the campus recognizes the true nature of storage. It’s not just “spinning rust.” Every single comment has revolved around specific application needs, bent around real or perceived business requirements. Storage exists to support applications. If we don’t think in this way, we will waste money, waste effort and ultimately miss out on numerous opportunities to leverage IT to support and, dare I say, improve business practices on this campus.
