The Human Rights Campaign (HRC) is the largest national lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) political organization, with 750,000 members throughout the country. It effectively lobbies Congress, provides campaign support and educates the public to ensure that LGBT Americans can be open, honest, and safe at home, at work, and in the community. Each year, HRC Austin holds its Gala Dinner as a way to bring together members of the LGBT community and its allies in a night of celebration, support, and honoring leaders. This year’s Gala is on March 20, 2010, at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Austin, and the theme is Speak the Truth.
