Ellen Clarke Temple Award In the Study of Women in History
This award is given to graduate students affiliated with WGS in support* of student’s travel, research, and other similar needs in the study of the history of U.S. women. Preference will be given to those concentrating their studies on some aspect of women in Texas history. Secondary preference will be given to students concentrating their studies on some aspect of women in American history, looking first to the Southwest region of the United States. The awards (up to $3000 each) will be presented at the annual Women’s and Gender Studies Spring Reception in late April/early May, date TBA.

Students must belong to the WGS MA or dual degree graduate programs, or enrolled in the WGS Portfolio Program to be eligible for these awards. Essays, applications and letters (if required) must be submitted online by 5:00pm on April 4th 2011.
