The Diversity Education Institute presents its fall roundtable, “Talking About Taboos: Social Class” on Tuesday, Nov. 10, at 5:00 p.m. in the LBJ Room (CMA 5.160).
Social class is often considered a “taboo” topic, rarely discussed in conversations.
• Discuss how we learned to be silent about issues of social class.
• Examine how we avoid noticing poverty in our society.
• Learn how to begin conversations about these issues.
This event is FREE and open to the public. Pizza and drinks will be provided.
