Collaborations for Teaching and Learning

Are you familiar with The National Teaching and Learning Forum? Published online and in print by James Rhem, the NTLF strives to be home to a diverse community of educators who want to share their research and expertise on teaching and learning.

How about Tomorrow’s Professor, published by Rick Reis from the Stanford Center for Innovations in Learning? Along with the American Association for Higher Education and Accreditation (AAHEA), these three powerhouse faculty development sites collaborate to bring instructors the collective wisdom and vision of the best information available in teaching and learning.

Tomorrow’s Professor’s subtitle reads: “Desk-top Faculty Development, One Hundred Times a Year.” For each of these groups, you can subscribe to e-mail newsletters, RSS feeds, and lots of other goodies, pulling content with very little effort. All three organizations are highly recommended to stay current on the latest teaching and learning wisdom, especially for the teacher on-the-go.

  1. George Gollin Says:

AAHEA is an unrecognized accreditor. By at least one state’s definition, it is an accreditation mill. See this article in the Chronicle of Higher Education dated August 25, 2008: “Inquiry Into Higher-Education Group Reveals Odd Connections,” Thomas Bartlett, http://chronicle.com/article/Inquiry-Into-Higher-Education/1094 .
