Discounted UT Athletics tickets
In recognition of Staff Appreciation Week, (May 3-8, 2010) UT Athletics would like to offer you and your guests DISCOUNTED TICKETS to the following 2010 Texas home athletic events (subject to availability):

  • Baseball ($6 RESERVED TICKETS)–Tuesday, May 4 vs. Prairie View A&M at 6:05 p.m. – Promo Code: BASEBALL (no spaces)

Free Concerts by the Butler School of Music
The UT Butler School of Music would like to offer all UT Staff members
free admission to our concerts during Staff Appreciation week.

  • May 3- UT Symphony Orchestra, 7:30 PM, Bates Recital Hall
  • May 4- New Music Ensemble, 7:30 PM, Bates Recital Hall
  • May 5- UT Wind Ensemble, 7:30 PM, Bates Recital Hall
  • May 6- Jazz Ensemble, 7:30 PM, Bates Recital Hall
  • May 7- Wind Symphony, 7:30 PM, Bates Recital Hall

Staff members may claim two free tickets to each event by showing
their ID and mentioning “Staff Appreciation Week” at the box office
the night of the performance.

 

Blanton Tours and Giveaways

The Blanton will offer staff lunch time tours during Staff Appreciation Week. All current UT ID holders are always free at The Blanton.

  • May 4 12:30 PM Landscapes at The Blanton
  • May 5 12:30 PM Portraits at The Blanton
  • May 6 12:30 PM Modern & Contemporary art at The Blanton
  • May 7 12:30 PM Renaissance & Baroque art at The Blanton

All tours are upstairs at 12:30 and last for 30 minutes. Our museum shop and cafe will be open, and we will have drawings in our shop for surprise gifts for UT staff during the week. Note that we are closed on Mondays.

NEWLY ADDED: In honor of UT Staff Appreciation Week, the Blanton Museum Shop is offering a 20% discount to all UT Faculty and Staff with ID through Sunday, May 16, 2010.

 

The Division of Housing and Food Service is proud to participate in UT Staff Appreciation Week 2010 with the following specials:

Monday: Free Mini Brownies! Come enjoy a bite size treat at one of our retail location: Jester City Limits, Jester City Market, Cypress Bend Café, Littlefield Patio Café, or Kin’s Market.
Tuesday – Thursday: Learn how you can save 10% on every purchase using your Faculty and Staff Dine in Dollars! Add $20 to new or existing accounts at our table and receive a free gift. (Tuesday at Littlefield Patio Café, Wednesday at Cypress Bend Café, and Thursday in the Jester concourse).
Friday: Get a free 24oz Fountain Drink with any purchase.

 

The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center will offer UT staff $2 off admission to the gardens and grounds on May 3-8. Staff members just need to show their UT ID card at the gate. Visit the Wildflower Center’s website for more details about the gardens and directions to the Center.

    An annual day of remembrance honoring members of
    The University of Texas at Austin community
    who died in the previous year.

  • Telescope Tour!

    Staff and their families are welcome to join a special UT Staff night at the 16-in telescope on the top of RLM. We will open the roof at 8 p.m. and viewing on the telescope will start at about 8:30. Take the RLM elevators to the 17th floor and follow the signs up to the telescope. No reservations are required – just show up!

    Special notes: event will be canceled in event of rain. Participants will need to be able to climb one flight of steps and a big step onto the roof itself.
