The University of Texas at Austin has the distinction of being the No. 1 Peace Corps volunteer-producing university in the Southwest. Since 1961, close to 1,200 UT alumni have volunteered throughout the globe, serving in 135 developing nations on grassroots projects. UT’s best and brightest have represented their alma mater well, lending their skills and knowledge to programs in agriculture, business, community development, education, environment, health and information technology. Currently, 68 UT alumni serve in five continents.
