Early American Culture Skits

During our study of cultural groups that settled or were displaced during Westward Expansion of the U.S., the kids created and performed interactive skits. Three of the groups were the Nez Perce Native Americans, Oregon pioneers, and the Forty-niners.   Their skits tell a story and demonstrate aspects of their culture, lifestyle and hardships along the trail westward. Walk4Water and Service Learning

Our 2nd Annual Lil’ Longhorn Walk4Water was a huge success this weekend. Close to 20 kids and 10 adults walked around Ladybird Lake, walking 6 kilometers each carrying 6 liters of water, to raise money for a school in Tanzania.
