Brain Pop Educator Resources

If you ask a fifth grader what one of their favorite resources is in the classroom, Brain Pop would be in the top 5. If you aren’t familiar with Brain Pop, there is an app available for free Brain Pop educational movies on your mobile device, http://www.brainpop.com/apps/about/.

Thanks to our very supportive Parent Forum (UTES version of PTA), each of our classrooms has a subscription to this wonderful resource. Lately, I’ve been exploring the Brain Pop Educator website and submitted a lesson for their teacher resources on-line library. It was published! You can heck it out at http://www.brainpop.com/lessonplans/undergroundrailroadsimulation/. This is the same Underground Railroad lesson that you can see snapshots and videos of on my classroom webpage, http://www.utelementary.org/apps/video/watch.jsp?v=27096 .

There are so many mult-media resources available today. We are very lucky to have access to the best technology resources out there. Thank you UTES Parent Forum! Hook’em!
