RECRUITING GRAD/MBA STUDENTS: the next generation of Fashion Business Professionals–July 22nd-24th, complimentary program
We are pleased to announce our third annual Fashion Campus NYC program!
As you may recall, Parsons the New School For Design and the New York City Economic Development Corporation (NYCEDC) launched Fashion Campus NYC in 2011 to expose students to the variety of business-related career paths in NYC’s fashion industry. This complimentary program continues to evolve, attracting an increasingly global group of participants as well as more New York fashion companies with each passing year.
There are some exciting changes this year that will help everyone maximize the value of this program, including:
• Program expansion and a dedicated career track to include Graduate and MBA students and working professionals
• Convenient weekday evenings to accommodate more schedules
• A condensed case study for more practical insights
This year Fashion Campus NYC will take place over three evenings starting Monday, July 22, through
Wednesday, July 24, 2013.
Event highlights include:
• A keynote speech from a top fashion executive
• A peer panel discussion featuring young professionals working on the business side of the industry
• A networking social with fashion executives and human resource managers (previous employer participants include Aeropostale, American Eagle, Calvin Klein, Coach, Elie Tahari, Gilt Groupe, John Varvatos, Lord & Taylor, Macy’s, Michael Kors, Polo Ralph Lauren, Saks Fifth Avenue and many more)
• Small-group workshop sessions organized by career path
In order to apply, MBA and Graduate students must:
• Be in good standing in an MBA or graduate program in business or a related field
• Have an internship, fellowship, or similar in a business field in NYC this summer
• Be able to attend all of the program’s events
Please note: Fashion Campus NYC focuses exclusively on the business of fashion and is not geared toward design or journalism. Our goal is to educate participants on disciplines such as buying and planning, merchandising, product development, PR/marketing, sales and e-commerce. Participants should have business or fashion-related internships and backgrounds. Space is limited, so we encourage early applications.
We have attached a flyer (please email Michael Payne) for your review. So many of you were instrumental in spreading the word about last year’s event so we thank you in advance for your support. We will be accepting applications until June 24th on our website: fashioncampusnyc.com.
Sincerely,
Jennifer Jann
